My take on Tim's tag for April 2016 - I'm happiest when I am with you

Well I had most of this tag done fairly early and then Easter holidays and the finishing bits just didn't seem to happen...but there done now..

I have to say , despite loving the mosaic effect, the kit had sat new and unloved , until now...so I am pleased to be spurred on to open it and play... I have followed the techniques from the master himself, but have changed some elements...

So without further ado here is my take and Tim's can be found here :

I chose coordinating papers for the heart in soft neutrals and a hint of blue/grey...

I added some twists of rusty wire ...just love the stuff, some co-ordinating seam binding and some personal touches ....the sentiment reads I'm happiest when I am with you and I added the number 20 for the date I married my wonderful husband... I know how soppy ...but all my pieces seem to be having words , a word or some personal, message at the moment...

I added little staple kisses...and have to say I loved the background technique for this one....I had to adapt slightly as my brayer seems to be in a VERY safe place, you know so safe , even I couldn't find it!

So I will be adding this to Tim's tags link up and hope to be back really soon with something else...you never know!

thanks to everyone , who is popping by despite my sporadic posts and comments....I appreciate it so much x

keep those fingers inky!

A rose by any other name. - for Country View Crafts

Well it has been a very , very long while since I made things for pleasure and also since I blogged...other than the odd take on Tim's gorgeous tags which has been few and far between....

It has also been a long while since I did any posts for the lovely Susan , over at Country View Crafts..but she is allowing me to pop in a post , as and when .... so thank you Susan ...and here is a taste of my first .... using the gorgeous Lady Rose stamps from my crafty inspiration... Tim Holtz.

I love these stamps, the gentleness and almost french perfumeries elegance ...well to me anyway?

You know me, love all things neutral...so I have stayed really neutral here ... even for me!

here are a few close ups of some of the details ...

and one more...

If you would like to see all the details of how I created this Lady Rose gift box....please hop here ...to be transported over to the Country View Crafts shop blog....which will have links to all the products I have used and details of how I created this piece.

Thanks to everyone for your lovely kind comments, on my very slow re-entering into blogland....which will be sporadic but its good to be back!
