my take on Tim's tag for december 2013

Well what a year of inspiration, and although not quite linked all up have a again managed to complete the whole year of tags...and there have been some fab ones this year. So without further ado here is Tim's tag this month and here is my take on the tag...sticking with the browns...

well I am not going to go into all the details as Tim has  all the details here..

but I was fairly pleased with my snowy splatters..

and loved the way the flower turned out with the gorgeous frosty film....I added a little bell for the centre...

I added rock candy distress glitter for the frosty fronds and some rusty wire..

So another year of Tim's tags and fab inspiration! I will be back tomorrow with number five of Linda's 12 tags xx I hope !

playing Tim's tags catch up.... here is November and October

well having taken a break from blog land earlier this year I sadly missed Tim's tags for October and November , but was determined to complete the set, so decided to do a winter inspired version of The tags for October and November. 

Each month Tim gives us an amazing tag for inspiration and his November tag can be found here and his October tag can be found here . So here are my two catch up tags ...October first ..

I mad a yummy Distress painty background, still so in love with these! And then cut out this gorgeous vintage santa...A new Tim one and coloured him with distress markers from craft sheet with my waterbrush. 

I added the frame but used silver Distress glitter.......well pumice stone, gorgeous stuff!

 and added some die cuts coloured with iced spruce and sprinkled with Distress rock candy, still love this stuff , makes everything seem sugar coated/ frosted.

 

copying Tims layout I added a sentiment from simple sayings...

and some scrummy dyed seam binding at the top..

Now for my festive take on November :

For this I followed Tim's lead and so all the details of the chalkboard effect can be found here , 

and then added some linen ribbon, dyed seam binding and some idea-ology...including the cutest ice skate going!!

hope everyone is getting there helping Santa, Life events here have delayed proceedings some what and now I have a really horrible cold :( but we will get there ! Santa will be ready !

my Tim's Tag for July 2013 - always and forever

well again I am running late for this months tag, how do I do it! So a link to Tim's fab tag for July can be found here. I decided to go with my happy place of blues and browns and followed the steps of Tim's but with a few added bits and different colours. So here is my make :

I will leave all the details, to the crafty master himself here, but a few photos...I loved the brayed background and made quite a few, although this wasn't the best I somehow loved the colours so went with that...

I made my hearts in the same way as Tim did his die cut pieces..

 I do so love this technique...looks great in all sorts of colours!...some idea-ology...

My Tim's tag for June 2013

well the crafty master that is Tim Holtz has done it again with a gorgeous tag and great technique...so here is a link to his fab tag and her is mine:

 I followed all Tim's step by steps but decided to grunge it up and use this fab image from Time Travellers...love this set!! Oh and I could not resist adding a few cogs and some wire!

All the step by steps for how to create Tims tag are here ...

I used the same technique to colour the image..

 

And loved the product combinations used for the background...boy I love my distress...

 

So I will be linking this up to Tim's tags 2013, short and sweet toady!

my tims tag for march 2012

well it has been one of those weeks and I am sorry to say I have not been around blog land much, my huge apologies but it has been a fairly exhausting week emotionally. I have been keeping up with my dt commitments and will try to catch up as much as possible , please do not feel you have to comment just bear with me a little longer! please!? Also thanks to everyone for your kind messages they do mean a lot..

So this tag was another wonder from the crafty master that is Tim , so here is my take on that :

I did adapt some and went for a blues and brown colour combo! no surprise there then..
A couple more pics and then I will leave you in peace to enjoy your Easter weekend.
