So , after making my resolution to make more time to craft .. in tiny stolen moments - I have managed ...so far, alongside all the home school and mummy stuff to do just that ... in tiny stolen moments...

The challenge over at Frilly and Funkie this time is winter hues...and I do love this wintery palette , so decide to see if I could make something in time and  I have just managed to finish this in time ... so here goes :

So the front of this mini free standing piece has lots of Tim Holtz goodness and lots of layers of distress crayons and collage medium..I know late to the party but I am loving the crayons!

here is the back with another found relative...oh who is awaiting the new paper dolls eagerly...?

The base layer was some stencilled texture paste onto patterned paper from Tim stack...covered with collage medium and then plenty of crayons and some picket fence distress paint too..

 Here is the front side ...before I added it to the base ...some chit chat stickers and idea-ology to finish

and a close up , just because I wanted to capture the texture...

here is a side shot, I used clear rock candy glitter around the side for added sparkle..

and added some on the base which was painted and coloured with distress crayons...

and added a couple of the tiny idea-ology ice skates too

so there is my wintery hues make ... and I am loving my stolen moments and sometimes they are just a few minutes...and rediscovering why I love distress!!

So I would like to enter this into the wintery hues challenge over at Frilly and Funkie .

See possibility everywhere

Well this tag was made a long while ago but has just never seen its day ...so I thought...why not...

This was made with lots of inky layers of distress and plenty of Tim Holtz goodness, I may dabble with lots of other things but somehow my heart always leads me home to my inks...they just make me happy .

This layered tag has been made with a large tag and a small one layered on top, some texture paste and resist stamping for the base layer...

And for the details, some die cut gears (Tim Holtz thinlits) made a little rusty...along with plenty of yummy idea-ology...

some dyed seam binding tied at the top ...and a hint of rusty wire....and a splash of idea-ology ...well maybe a few splashes!

so it still feels a bit weird being back in blogland and it my be sporadic at times  but it is a start ...

stolen moments to get inky! - do your best

Well it has been a very long while ... and I cannot promise when or how often I will be here ... but I can promise that I am going to try ...as and when life and time allows. ( no need for all the details x)

So here ,after a very long time ...is a tag...just for me to get inky and sit at my dusty desk....and play with some of my much loved Tim Holtz goodies!

So ... why a tag ? ....because I love them...they make me smile and take me back to playtime really...
 so this tag has some texture paste applied through different stencils...(inspired by creative chemistry 103- way back in the summer) -

 some of my favourite distress inks....still my favourite - although now have my eye on the new oxides..oh boy Tim is the total inky guru!

I added some of my much loved idea-ology and a found relative....cut out ....but soon I won't have too when the new Tim paper dolls find their way to me!

So there you have it ..a tag ... a promise to myself to try and find some small windows of inky time ...just for me ...

I have chosen some of the chit chat stickers that spoke to me ... and are there to remind me ...

So not sure anyone will still remember who I am , or if you're still out there ...but it feels good ...just to be here x
