Hey there bloggers,
here I am again with tag that just kept on evolving.I am so chuffed with it and whereas sometimes I am disappointed that I can' t quite pull my ideas together , this just flowed and I LOVE IT....hope you do too. I think it was a bit out of my zone but I will definitely being using aged mahogany again, I think it could be a new found fav!!!
Anyway enough yacking on , here it is.....
I started this tag for the dragons web challenge, to include roses and metal, but then realised this would be great for teens too.
I am entering it into the following challenges:
Gc115 teens @ http://gingersnapcreations.blogspot.com/
Metal and roses in a tag @ http://dragon-dragonsdream.blogspot.com/
create a tag for card and scrap @ http://pictureandscrap.blogspot.com/
Just a few close ups, I even made the ribbon!!!, well coloured it and stamped it I mean, I'm not that clever!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope you like it, there will be more where that came from I think, especially as I want to play some more with my sand texture paste, cool stuff!!!
Thanks for stopping by, it makes my day

An adventure with baby wipes!!!
Hi bloggers,
Hope you have a happy crafty day! I am feeling rather 'heavyhearted'and a bit flat today as tomorrow my two boys go back to school and I hate it!!!!!!!
Anyway, onto happier crafty things...
Here is my adventure or voyage of discovery into the crafty use of baby wipes,I just want to say they are great and I will be using them lots more!!!
The piece made with the finished flowers using baby wipes is here:
I will be entering this into the following competitions:
Gingersnap creations, gc114 spicy supply challenge, using baby wipes@ http://gingersnapcreations.blogspot.com
Craft your days away,challenge 28 , make your own flowers @ http://craftyourdaysaway.blogspot.com
Trash to vintage treasure , sugar creek hollow @ http://sugarcreekhollow.blogspot.com
Challenge 114, handmade flowers@ http://movingalongwiththetimes.blogspot.com
And anything goes @ http://simonsaysstampandshow.blogspot.com
Instructions,...
1.dry out baby wipes or use the dried ones that are usually left on the top of my packs!!!, once totally dry colour. I coloured using tattered angels glimmer mist in : vanilla breeze, creme de chocolat and creme de rouge.set aside to dry.
2.once totally dry I cut the flowers using Tim Holtz tattered florals die. then I bunched together groups of flowers, pinched at back and secured with stitch, they almost feel like soft felt.I added robins nest dew drops to centre.
3.the box was crackled using emulsion and crackle glaze and then I added using glimmer mist dabbed on with cut n dry foam.
4.some flourishes and leaves were cut using Tim Holtz dies and coloured using walnut stain distress ink, the leaves had some iridescent gold added( tattered angels ).
5.the flowers were secured to the top and sides pinflair glue.I stamped detail using a Tim Holtz flower head and walnut stain.
I am very pleased with the flowers and will definitely being using baby wipes again, but am unsure I would choose these colours again!!!Still we can' t be totally happy with everything I guess!!!!
Anyway that's all for now, thanks for stopping by

Time...tick tock goes the clock!
Hey there bloggers,
Hope you have had a crafty day...I am blogging this card which was an experiment in using a distress ink, Forest Moss, that shock horror had never been used!I decided to let it out to play and here is what I ended up with....
time @ http://takeaword.blogspot.com/
distressing and tearing @ http://thecraftypad.blogspot.com/
masculine@ http://sugarcreekhollow.blogspot.com/
go mad with embossing @ http://fabnfunkychallenges.blogspot.com/
The details,
1. The background was made by splodging forest moss, picket fence and antique linen onto a craft mat, spritzing with water and the smooshing (technical term)the card around...hope that technical tale makes sense!
2.The clock background was embossed using a Tim Holtz embossing folder and the DI antique linen, bundled sage, forest moss and black soot added, using applicator tool.
3.The clocks were stamped in forest moss DI and then forest moss applied with tool. The piece was then scrumpled, unscrumpled and black soot applied with too, sparingly.
4.The greeting was made in same way without the scrumpling!
5.The large clock face was stamped in forest moss and then painted with forest moss picked up from craft mat.Once dry glossy accents was added to clock face.
6.Finally I made 2 little shrink plastic clocks on frosty shrink plastic, fab stuff!
Anyway, hope you are still awake, try and keep it shorter next time!sorry!!!
Thanks for stopping by, makes my day

Cheep,cheep,cheep.....for the Sunday stampers challenge
Hey there bloggers,
here is my cheep, cheep cheep entry for my first ever Sunday stampers challenge @ http://pinkleart.blogspot.com/
I decided to use a notebook that had been awaiting my attention for a while. The notebook had been painted with household emulsion in grey, a crackle medium and then a creamy emulsion and sat waiting for inspiration to strike.
I coloured the cover using distress inks on cut n dry foam in weathered wood and stormy skies, I then ovestamped using a Tim flourish in stormy skies.
Once dry I overstamped the birdcage in frayed burlap, such a gorgeous colour......The decoration, is mostlyTim using a birdcage cut from card and coloured with frayed burlap, overstamped and brads added for detail, tickets from Creative Expressions were then used to make a flower.
The bird is stamped in weathered wood and I added shade using frayed burlap.
The flourishes are Tims' elegant flourishes cut from grungepaper, coloured with weathered wood and frayed burlap distress stickles painted on for grungy bling.
Anyway again I must learn to remember to be short (well I am!!) and sweet once in a while...just get carried away!
Anyway that's all for tonight,
Have a happy crafty day
