festive love ..

here is my tag , inspired by Tim's 12 tags of 2011, tag no 12..

for Simon says stamp and show..

I mean make a tag inspired by Tim's tags.. rude not to..

so here is mine:

 

 

I made the background in similar fashion to Tim's tag

adding some creative expressions mica flakes

and stamped flourishes

 

 

instead of the letters I used ideology letters coloured silver

a heart, cut from grunge paper

coloured

inked and then wire and a

chit chat sticker added

along with a wooden heart covered in mica flakes

 

 

finally a porcelain style flower, with some mica flakes sprinkled  in

sorry about poor photo

my camera is playing up!!

added to the centre of a tissue wrap poinsettia

 

thanks to Hels for inspiring me to get my melt pot out!!

santa claus is coming...

well here I am to say a huge thanks to all my fab followers

well today...shock..horror no tag!!!

so here is a Santa canvas:

 

I used Tim's fab crumpled tissue wrap technique on the background

and added inks and shimmery spray..

 

some snowflakes stamped with music in iced spruce

and a wooden star in centre

 

 

a dusting of ..

rock candy glitter..

rude not too..

and yes there is still loads in my pot!!!

 

a flower from Tim paper and tattered floral die

 

 

finally this fab Tim component Santa stamp, which I LOVE

a banner with sentiment on

ooh and some lace

festive trees for creative expressions DT

well here i am with another Creative Expressions Dt post with some fab festive stamps..

so sorry that this is late ,

but been feeling really under the weather and was in bed nearly all day yesterday.

.also thanks to everyone who stops by.

.i always try to return the favour...but my blogging has been slow this week so sorry..

hope to be back to speed next week

 

so here is my make for Creative Expressions and we were lucky to have two sets of stamps...

and i chose to use let it snow

so here is my make :

i started by making a crumpled tissue wrap background for the card

using compose..love this stuff!

and covering in pearl and silver paint dabbers..

 

 

i stamped the gorgeous trees in chipped sapphire DI

and covered in Rangers fab new sticky embossing powder and heated..

then sprinkled over another fab new festive Ranger addition..loose rock candy glitter..

and set aside for sticky powder to cool and set..

 

this glitter is fab as the colour shines through and the glitter is subtle but shimmery!!!

 

 

i repeated so i had one large and two small trees.

 

i then coloured some fab crochet ribbon with distress inks

from craft mat and dried..

 

you know me i love staples so i stapled my ribbon

but you could glue or attach in a way that is hidden if you prefer..

 

i made a dimensional rose,

coloured with chipped sapphire

painted with glue and seal

and dunked in distress rock candy..

 

 

i used the Tims Tattered floral die but Hels has made a fab

tutorial here for making roses using a spellbinders die..

 

finally i added a sentiment

and a couple of leaves..

Tissue wrapped for compendium of curiosities challenge, technique 10

Well by the skin of my teeth again, but at least I have been poorly so have an excuse for my lateness!!! When I was feeling really poorly....I kept thinking I cannot miss a week...but just couldn't muster any get up and go..it had Got up and GONE!!!!! But I made it..
also thanks to those lovely people who missed me!!!

so enough , here is mine:

I decided to stick to browns as I love them!! I must admit not sure if I won the tissue fight when making this flower!!! Note to self...need more practise!!

The tag background was made using lots of Tim's fab techniques and a few squirts of perfect pearls and inkiness.I added some ribbon and idea-ology to complete . I mean every tag needs some idea-ology?!

Technique 6, tissue wrap collage for compendium of curiosities challenge

I followed the technique from the book, and had never tried this before, I went through oh dear! and is that right? And um!! But the oh wow I like that!I added some ribbon and floral trim and was pleased with the results..
