well this tag has been made for a while,

 but,

 haven't felt well enough to blog it!

 that's why things have been quiet here... sorry i haven't been doing the commenting rounds..

 so here is my take on Tim's fab tag for this month..

tape it up..steampunk style

well it is challenge time over at Simon says again..

 i missed it last week

 and am nearly too late this week!!!

so the theme is tape it up..

and here is my taped up creation..inspired by a magazine article by Sarah..

 

 

i used DIY aluminium foil tape,

added lots of cogs and steampunk yumminess..

and then coloured the tape with alcohol inks..

 

inside the space

i added some wire
coloured with alcohol inks...
cogs cut, embossed and coloured

and a heart and wings..
well i had to didn't i?!
and the heart been rust treated ...

 and lots of idea-ology!
I have had a ball making this!!!!

I love the fab rusty technique theses copper patina effect is fab ...and i know not one i have mastered!!

 

 

i love the layers of paint and textures too..

they are amazing and such timehas gone in here to create this fab piece...

spooky blended stains for compendium of curiosities challenge vol2

well it is time for another fab Tim challenge,

 hosted by Linda here..

so the compendium of curiosities vol 2 challenge this time is blended stains

and all the details,

 from the master himself...can be found on page 45

so here is my tag using this technique:

 

 

I started  by making my background, using blended stains,

then scuffed the edges and added black soot ink..

 

The tree was die cut and coloured black using stain and then ink..

i added 31,

some bats stamped in archival

black ribbon using stains,

 

the pumpkins were coloured with distress

 

 

and lots of rock candy added ..

I LOVE this stuff!!

 

finally a date stamp and a spider charm.

its recipe time again at dragons dream ..misty autumn glaze

well it is time for another recipe challenge, over at dragons dream TIO..

we have a new round of great recipes..

and here is the first..

" misty autumn glaze " - you must use

 mists , ink or mica,

autumn colours

some glaze

 

So here is mine:

 

 

I used mica powder, dylusions spray and perfect pearls spray as my mists .

.oh and a water mister!

for the glaze i used glossy accents and some rock candy crackle glaze..love this stuff!!!

 

i started with some fab DI.in spiced marmalade and the gorgeous seedless preserves..

i spritzed with prefect pearls, dried and re applied ink ink some areas.

.then added black soot around the edges.

 

Then i embossed the cobweb in the corner and added colour and some bits of glossy accents

then i stamped a spider

 

and some cobwebs..

then i used perfect medium to stamp a couple more cobwebs

and added interference red perfects pearls powder..

 

Finally i made some pumpkins, coloured with di,

made some twiddly wire bits

and added rock candy crackle glaze..

 

a couple of bats..well three,

and some ribbon dyed with distress and dylusions

and it is finished!

well it is time for another Dt piece for anything goes..

and this time is sketch time....

 

now i will admit to finding sketches a huge challenge!!!

but i know that many people love them ....

so here is my piece:

so i decided  to do a book...

and add the elements in the best way i could..

i crackled the background of the book and used a limited colour palette..

i added this fab image form the Artistic Stamper as my focal point..

 

lots of Tim die cuts..

coloured using distress embossing powders and crackle paint..

sometimes the hardest thing to do,

is believe in ourselves...

 

i have been playing with rust again,

sorry!!!

 

this time i have made textured rust wings... and i love how these have turned out..

again from the fab timeworn workshop..

and again i have made them ..me...

 

I started with corrugated card for the tag and

added some washes of picket fence stain..

 

the wire mesh ( gardening wire )

has been coloured with alcohol inks...

and stapled to the tag.

 

This tag is simple and so there are not many elements..

i added a fab wendy heart, stamped onto book paper, and inked..

chit chat stickers...inked..

 

two flowers made using the fab tattered floral die..

 

and my rusty wings...

to complete i added vintage cream cotton lace instead of ribbon..

friendship blossoms in many places..

well i don't make that many cards ..

for some reason..

but wanted to make one for a new found friend.....

who is full of kindness and whose  heart is full..

i wanted to use this heart stamp,

 

 

and a natural colour palette..

 

 

think maybe my card making skill need

some practise

the card was made and sent with love!

playing with rust...

well here i am with a tag i made a while ago..

playing with rust technique..

from timeworn,

a great online Andy Skinner workshop..

 

so here she is:

 



i am not sure this is quite what Andy had in mind,

but i wanted to use these techniques

on things that are me..if that makes sense!

 

 

i LOVE this dress form almost as much as my cogs!

 

 

I added the sewing spool with wire, a crackled heart,

 

 

some staples i coloured with alcohol inks,

buttons tied with wire..

and some chit chat stickers..

bats in the belfry for compendium of curiosities challenge, ..enameled stamping

well it is time for another fab compendium of curiosities challenge..

and this technique, enameled stamping can be found

in Tim's fab book, page 44..

 

So here is my tag using this technique:

 

 

the background has been made using enameled stamping and

this can be found in the book....

page 44

......i decided to add a Halloween twist ...

as i was desperate to use this new stamp.

 

 

i added some barbed wire stamping and twined wire

i added some bat die cuts,..

a fence die cut scuffed with paint,

 

a little bottle,

some ideaology

and a skeleton charm i made from stash!
