paint your dreams for creative expressions Dt

well here I am better late than never with one of my two makes for Creative Expressions Dt makes this week..please do not panic I did make this very un-me make!! still not sure about it ..but hey ho!

So firstly there is colour! and it is a card! I know...blimey!

I started by creating a distress painty background using...lots of the colours that I had not played with, you know me neutrals, blues, browns..so I stepped out of my comfort zone here..

I smooshed some paint onto my craft sheet, spritzed and dragged card through, spritzed a bit more and then dried...I tell you these distress paints are the ultimate Yumminess.( technical term!)

Then I stamped the bubble wrap background stamp and chicken wire stamp across the background, using the stamp un-mounted to get patches of the pattern .

Finally for this simple make...I stamped these fab vintage florets in black archival...a few idea-ology washers..because I could not resist, some white pen and there you have it! The sentiment is from Sam Pooles art sayings..packed full of fab sentiments.

I will back tomorrow with a more me make!

have a fun and inky day!

  1. I like these colours, but can understand that it is a big step away from your usual more natural colours. Still; love your background and the buttons work perfect! Hugs, Gerrina

  2. Love the project. Soo agree about the Distress Paints - I really didn't want to like them, and I also find myself using colour combos I wouldn't normally try xx

  5. Wow, this certainly is different, I had to do a double take to make sure I was actually on the right blog lol. I really like it though, the background looks great! With me every time I try to do that technique with the DPs it always turns to mud.....
