So here is my make for this week :
I started with three coasters which i adhered some torn strips of book pages too, then i coated with mushroom eco paint. when dry i splodged some frayed burlap and picket fence distress paints onto my craft sheet. splodged the coasters in and then lots of spritzing of water and dripping...then i left them to dry.
Then onto the layered stamping of the fab flourish from this set. I stamped firstly in frayed burlap, then in coffee archival and then used a different application of the archival, by dragging across stamps surface to create softer colour.
When dry i edged with autumn bronze and pearl moon gilding wax...just to edge the pieces . now onto the flowers.... I cut these using vintage floret hearfelt creations die, and then added stamping using the flourish. The centres are pearls coloured with frayed burlap distress paint. I added a few chipboard leaves from stash ...also coloured using frayed burlap paint.
It pleases me that all this has only used one stamp and yet there is lots to see...if that makes sense?!
Finally I added idea-ology letters again coloured with distress paint and used jump rings to combine all the pieces...oh and some rusty wire!
well make sure you pop across to the other dt members blogs ( links in sidebar of blog here ) to see their fab makes so far xx

ReplyDeleteBeautiful - absolutely gorgeous Trace. So you use a Splodge Mat? I have been looking at them but cannot decide. Or what do you mean by splodge. I have to make one of this before I croak -- or my hands shake and I can't - or my vision gets to blurry. Oh the golden years!!!

This is such an artistic piece of work! I love it! I wonder where you plan to hang it. I think it’s best to place on the main door so that everyone who enters your dwelling will sure be inspired upon entering and leaving you house. Thanks a lot for the inspiration! God Bless you!
