weekend ,so Mum could play!
So here is my make:
Having dabbled with the whole colour thing, I am now firmly back in my neutral phase..for now anyway and loving using neutral colours to layer and create texture in soft tones..
So I started by sticking my ATC onto some corrugated card to give it some body, then I added strips of tissue tape, love this stuff..don't play with it for ages the find it and wonder why I haven't! So then I applied picket fence distress stain ( two layers ) to soften design.
Then to create texture i mixed some nougat fresco with texture paste and applied through some sequin waste ( thanks Mum!) . When dry I added a wash of nougat and then applied a couple of splats ( technical term!) of antique linen distress stain..haven't done this for ages! Then I added some frayed burlap and walnut stain to the edges....oh and then some white fire treasure gold.
I added parts of a corrugated flourish, which had been painted, inked and then had treasure gold brushed over.
The heart was torn from an old book page ( did feel a bit guilty!) , I added a piece of card behind to make it more sturdy, and used crackle medium and then rubbed distress ink into crackle and then brushed with treasure gold.
Finally a chit chat sticker, some wire and some wings to finish!
I am really pleased with this make, sometimes things you make seem to go how you want and other times..well destination BIN!!.
I am entering this for the following competitions:

I love this ATC so much. It's just beautiful. Everywhere you look there is something beautiful and full of texture. Speaking of texture, what is NOUGAT FRESCO and TREASURE GOLD? I tried to email you but that button wouldn't work for me.
