Brushless watercolour , technique 6 for compendium of curiosities 2 challenge

oops this is technique 7...sorry!!!!!!

It is time for another fab compendium vol 2 challenge, and this time is brushless watercolour that can be found on page 49 of the book and you can see all the details from the man himself there! The sponsor this week is http://eclecticpaperie.com/.
I was not sure that i had got the hang of this technique when we tried it on creative chemistry 101, Tims fab course, so was unsure what my effort would look like,so here it is:

I wanted to use my great new rain man stamp, love this guy and chose my favourite colour combo blue and brown.I am really pleased with how it turned out all in all.
I added some flourishes in walnut stain and applied the same technique.
And then added the sentiment, it is a favourite too and I stamped this onto watercolour paper...
These  were mounted onto a background using DI and some ideaology and ribbon added.

one for the boys at simon says stamp..

......
Well I love all things steampunk and have used my favourite Tim stamp,to make a dad tag.
so here it is :

I started by embossing the tag using this fab new embossing folder, colouring with black soot and then adding pewter gleam, a craftynotions wax type product that adds a sheen.I added cogs , coloured in same way into corners of the tag and added washers to the centres, also to the whole at the top of the tag.

The image is the fab steampunk guys , stamped in archival, I then coloured the  card in pumice stone and black soot and then used a water brush to remove some of the colour from their faces. The ticket was coloured in same way.
I added some ideaology and a little bottle full of watch parts and some string to add to the manly feel,oh and dad letters!

Anniversaries for my DT piece at anything goes.

Couldn't think of a witty title...
So it is challenge time again at anything goes and this time it is happy anniversary...I am not big onto putting the actual words on so went for a heart and love theme using the fab shattered stains technique , courtesy of the crafty master Tim. So here is my tag!

I started by making a marbled stains background and over stamping, when dry with Hearts and script from the valentine set. When dry I added some black flourishes, can't remember where from, sorry! I also this lovely Wendy Vecchi sentiment and a 3-d Rose, made using the tattered floral movers and shapers die.
To complete I added two hearts made using the shattered stains technique, some dyed ribbon and some heart charms.

Lots of Tim goodies can be found at Lynnes craft den. also make sure you hop across and see what fab creations my fab team mates have made and maybe pop in an an entry yourself!

I started by making an inky background, using stencils and masks to create Dyans faux bleaching, then adding black spray to contrast with the vibrant colours. To complete I added a fab Dylusions bird, hat stamped onto spare sprayed card...believe me if you stand still long enough,I may spray you!!!

Queen for a day or two or maybe more!!

....
Over at the stamp man challenge blog the theme is queen and I wanted to combine this with the diamond jubilee challenge at pan pastels..so here is my piece :
I started by using distress crackle paint resist, using White crackle paint , setting aside to dry and then adding colour using DI.
Once dry I embossed the frame and added some more colour to highlight the raised areas.
No regal offering is complete without this fab Wendy stamp, which I LOVE!!! I stamped her onto speciality stamping paper to give supreme crisp image and then added a ranger foil sheet crown. This image was glued to a domino to give dimensions and a key and some pearls added.

I added some ideaology trim, coloured with barn door,a Wendy sentiment, crown charm pearl and vintage ribbon coloured with barn door...voila.

Imagine...another ...tag!

Hi there,
So the sun is still shining, which must be a record!!!and today, here is a tag!!!

This time over at dragons dream tag it on, the challenge is a tag, with a splash of green, buttons and a butterfly or two...now I had no problem with the green and butterflies, but buttons..boy I did struggle!
So I made an inky background with distress stains , added some Tim stamping for the flourishes and added some distress stickles.
The flowers were Wendy vecchi ones, cannot remember which set sorry! These were painted with wild honey DI and the tricky buttons added.
The butterflies were made by gluing tissue wrap to clearly for art..the clear flavour as quoted from Hels!! then the images were coloured with distress markers, and heated and shaped!
The ribbon was coloured with wild honey, to link in with flowers. I am not very good with recipes, in or out of the kitchen, as my family will tell you...cooking is not ME!!!! But, i am fairly pleased with this tag.
