I love this Tim stamp quote and it just makes me believe that all things are possible if we believe in them..One day...maybe?!!!!
Anyways here is my tag for today, well it had to be a tag right!?
I started by creating my tag in two halves, something I have not done for a long time...
The right hand side was created using embossing folders and playing with the rusted enamel Tim technique in Compendium of curiosities vol 1. I used this same technique on the quote panel.
The left hand side used a piece of a tag I had crackled using emulsion and crackle medium..I added ink to this and over stamped using a Tim clock stamp.
The umbrella man was cut from canvas, and inked and i love the textures that this gives..I wanted to create a tag full of textures and feel like hopefully I have achieved that?!! Finally I stamped some clocks onto clearly for art and shaped to make them Dali style .I made the clocks to curl around tag..feel fairly pleased with that although not sure they are drippy enough?
To finish I added some ribbon coloured with distress inks and some ideaology..

ReplyDeleteTrace, I love your wonderfully distressed and multiply textured tag!! Using two completely different techniques for the sides of the tag looks really cool! The embossed clock background is a great one! Your Umbrella Man cut out of canvas really does add a great, rough and woven texture to your crack vs. rusted enamel background.
