Well here is tag #12 of Linda's 12 tags of Christmas...all the details are here and it is generously sponsored by Linda's fab boutique the funkie junkie boutique. there is also 2 bonus tags...hoping I have time to complete those too...they have a twist and have to include a thank you theme too.
I want to say a huge thank you to Linda for the gorgeous and inspiring tags and really fun challenge...next year I am going to get going earlier!
Also welcome to all my new followers , thanks so much for taking the time to stop by xx
Here is Linda's tag #12 and here is mine below...I was inspired to twist my tag sideways and keep the design fairly simple...
I started by edging the tag with frayed burlap and clear embossing. Then I added some antique linen distress paint and picket fence to my craft sheet , spritzed with water and randomly dabbed on to tag..
I added some stamped snowflakes, covered in glitter and then spritzed a lot of it away...but great texture in real life! honest!
The sentiment was stamped in archival and clear embossed.
I added a reindeer die cut, inked, clear embossed and dabbed with left over paint to break up the colour a little and lots of cheesecloth snow.
Hopefully it looks like the reindeer is dashing through the snow. Finally some seam binding, linen ribbon and cheesecloth to finish off the tag.
I am linking this up to Linda's 12 tags of Christmas....

Stunning tag yet again. I love the texture from the embossing & I really must get myself some cheesecloth, it's so effective & looks wonderful here.

p.s. Have enjoyed reading your posts that I missed recently.
Great that effect with the clear embossing! Glad you´re finished with them and can go on with other subjects! Best wishes for 2014! (Think I sad that already) Have a good week, hugs, Gerrina
ReplyDeleteHi Trace love your tag and one of the corners looks just like butterscotch has been melted onto it. Not sure about dashing but the reindeer looks as if he is skipping through the snow.
ReplyDeleteWarm crafty hugs from Shirl x x
