life doesn't have to be perfect..

well here I am, Saturday afternoon having not really had as productive a crafty time as I would have liked but having finally got around to making a small entry for this weeks inspired by challenge over at PaperArtsy.
So this week we are to be inspired by the colourful makes of my crafty bud Michelle. So here is mine, not a lot of colour but inspired by the layers of painty stamping and stuff:
(stuff is a technical term..didn't you know!?, used by me when I cannot put my finger on exactly what I want to say....!)
so here is my make to be linked up the paperArtsy blog here:

I started with a mini screen and painted it with chocolate pudding, cool name for paint eh!? Then when dry I layered on some crackle medium nice and thin. When dry ( okay I cheated and dried with my heat gun ). Then I added some nougat ( a really yummy colour...one of my favs, ) using cut 'n' dry foam. Then I went to town with my sanding block and scuffed the edges.

Then I stamped the sentiment and heart onto crackly tissue paper, using coffee archival. I glued them on using multi medium matte.

I then set too layering stamping using iced coffee and nougat paint and also vintage photo and gathered twigs distress inks. I used a variety of stamps: HP 1204, 1004 EZ and MN 62. the main heart was from HP 1217 EZ.

I added some idea-ology and some rusty wire and then edged the screen in treasure gold, onyxite.

Finally I added some shrink plastic hearts, stamped onto clear shrink plastic using coffee archival.

well thanks for stopping by, I am linking this up to the paperartsy inspired by challenge.

have a fun and inky one!

  21. Stunning with lots going on when you look at it properly. I had a little chuckle when I read the post as you had written 'started off with a mini screen' as if it is something that just happened to be there and I had never even seen one before.:)Always something interesting to see on your blog posts.

    Love Chrissie xx
