treasure life

Well poor Oliver, we spent James' birthday last month at casualty after James hit his head and then spent last night , Oliver's birthday at the emergency doctors appointment  for James! I tell you what a way to spend your birthdays!! No wonder I look tired!! still keeps me on my toes!

Well in my first stepXstep over at Frilly and Funkie here , I made some flowers from ranger foil sheets and coloured them in two ways and made them in two different styles. So today I thought I would share the two pieces I made using flowers coloured with alcohol inks .
For all the details of how to make the flowers make sure you pop across here.
So here is my first piece :

For this piece I started with a round arts part piece and put texture paste through this great stencil, then when dry painted, scuffed , inked and highlighted with treasure gold.

I cut the dress form and randomly inked with embossing dabber, as this allows for places to be left un-inked. I sprinkled various distress embossing powders on and heated , then added walnut stain ink to the un embossed areas (warning: as the distress emboss powders are course they will slightly scuff up your pad on your blending tool, so you could use a piece of cut and dry foam instead).

The wings, well you now me and wings! They were covered with ferro texture paste in a random-ish manner, then highlighted with treasure gold.

The flower, all details of that are here.

And some rusty wire and some chit chat stickers complete the make!

I got carried away and made this tag too:

The flower is the same as above and I have added idea-ology, an embossed dress form. For the wings I added this fab rusty wire net from The funkie junkie boutique and have listed all the supplies for the flowers ( both styles ) below too.

I will be back later in the week with the softer flower make..

Thanks to everyone who is taking the time to stop by and also leave such lovely comments! They are very much appreciated,x

have a fun and inky one!
