This could be the start of something.....big!!!

Hi there,
Well I have been playing with my new dylusions toys and experimenting!!!very inky and hugely fun..I have taken the plunge and bought a journal so here goes...my very first page!!!!!

I had a ball playing with the inks, layering with stencils and stuff!!! Hope you like what I have done for a first go!! Not sure where this experiment will lead but it is so exciting to find a whole new set of things to try!!! I love and admire many of the beautiful journals out there and am not sure mine will ever be like them but it is MINE !!!! and i am looking forward to filling the pages with inky me!! not literally obviously..

I have certainly embraced colour?!!! havent i?
My love is still the steampunky grungy stuff but boy this colour thing is addictive!!!

I have used lots of the new dylusions colour sprays, they are fab colours and very bright!! I also used some of dyans stencils and stamps, all new stash goodies, couldnt help but edge the page in black distress ink..i mean a whole page without distress!!?not gonna happen here?!

let me know what you think?!  be gentle!!

I am entering this for the following competitions:
anything goes @ http://panpasteluk.blogspot.co.uk/
bold and bright @ http://emergencycrafterschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/
rainbow colours @ http://www.creativeinspirationspaint.blogspot.co.uk/

Thanks for stopping by, your comments make my day!
Have a fab, fun and inky day!
Hugs trace x

  2. I think it is just great!! Love the bright bold colours! I need to find a journal with thicker pages though because even if I gesso the pages before I start, the inks (sprays) go right through...which is ok on the unused pages but not on what I have already done...just warning you if your paper is think too!!

  4. Hi Stace I love your journal but also your Dylusions sprays. It is fun to work with this. I have made yet many backgrounds and in comingdays I can made some work with it. I have already one on my blog. They have really brights and lovely colors. My try is to make journal pages like you. I hope to start this week, who knows I will like it.

  10. Hi - think the pages are great ! Love the colours & the composition - the word blocks look very crisp in contrast - in your shoes I maybe would have tried softening the edges with some ink - but maybe they would have receded into the background too much ? Always fun to experiment ! I have one of the Dylusion inks I bought at Ally Pally but haven't tried yet - do they inks soak through your journal pages - would I have to stick pages together ? Hope you have brilliant fun with your new journal ! Ali x
