tag no 4 ..for the funkie junkies 12 tags of 2012

hey there,
 well here I am again..
with another tag for my grand catch up on the funkie junkies twelve tags
this is where Linda gives a tag for inspiration
and then you make  tag inspired by the tag, saying what you used as inspiration!
if you make all 12 lovely Linda is sponsoring some prizes
from her shop the funkie junkie boutique.
all details can be found here

so Linda's tag is here
and here is  mine:

mine is very different this time...inspired by
the natural elements and embossed panel
I used a snowflake embossed panel instead
and muted colours

I stamped the background with crackle stamp
oh and some sticky embossing powder and rock candy loose glitter crept in!!!
and snowflakes

added this beautiful angel
and sentiment from mini holidays set 4

to complete the natural feel I added some rusty wire..
and a flower made from kraft glassine
with a rusty bell centre

finally a rusty heart bound with rusty wire..

I found this tag a real challenge to start..
but am so pleased with the end result!

have a fun and inky day..

I am entering this for the following challenges:

  2. This is such a totally different take on Linda's tag and I love it. The rusty elements look great against that soft background (which reminds me of egg nog! - I know, my imagination orbits a different planet:) Love how you've used the glitter, and the little bell in the centre of the flower is inspired. Hugs, Buttons x

  5. You should be pleased with the end result Trace because it is just gorgeous, I love the Angel, the rusted heart and wire and the rusty jingle bell in the lovely flower. Sounds like you have a slight obsession with sticky embossing powder and glitter at the moment but they look amazing! Hugs, Anne x

  14. Trace...such a beautiful Christmas tag. You really get a vintage feeling with this one! Love the cream-ish yellow background with the crackled stamping. That stamp set of Tim's is awesome, isn't it? Love your angel, too. And the rusted heart that you've wire wrapped in with the tag looks fantastic! Love the dimensional tattered flower with the jingle bell center, too! <3 Candy
