Happy birthday Tim Holtz !

well the compendium of curiosities challenges hosted by the lovely Linda
..has reached its finale..
and none more fitting than to create a card for the crafty master himself
Tim Holtz...so it would be rude not too!
I have not played every week as life happens
but have loved joining in this journey through Tim's fab book
.... Tim products are my absolute favourite and his inspiration continue to excite and inspire!
ooh and the new goodies too...

so here is my card:

I started by inking the tag in antique linen and then stamping the machinery
in black soot some first and some second prints
to create layers of stamping...then drying and edging with black soot distress
I love distress..not sure where I would be without it!

I inked the background card and added soft stamping of machinery
(from remnants set)

I die cut some fab cogs..then inked lightly in black soot and over stamped
the machinery design too..

the details added..lots of yummy idea-ology..
film strip ribbon..cogs..gears..

I LOVE COGS!!!

the lettering cut from my new word play die..
a pen nib, spinner..

and there you have it happy birthday Tim for tomorrow..
also Happy birthday to my son James who will be 10!

thanks to Linda for the fab challenges
I will be linking my card up here!

have a fun and inky one!

  2. Love this Trace. Great idea to put the tag on the card first before layering all over the card rather than just adding the tag at the end. Clever and effective. Hugs, Jenny x
