Stand boldy - My take on Tim's tag for August 2014

Well I loved , loved , loved Tim's tag this month and had already been inspired by the stamping on tape part in some ATC's I created here . So now to put the whole tag's techniques into action . So for all the details and techniques from the master himself hop here. .... Now for my tag :

All the details can be found on Tim's blog so I will not be sharing those and I followed pretty much the way he had created his tag, changing some embellishments and substituting staples for the sewing he had used.. So here are some close ups .. I loved the gorgeous colours and textures he created on his tag and tried to create a similar feel

I love the rusty edges and added some rustiness to my embellishments too.

I am afraid no sewing machine, so I added rusty wire and some staples..well lots actually as I love them!

I love the stamping on tissue and had already played with this in some ATC's which can be found here in my trio of trouble .

And a rusty bulb to finish at the bottom..

I rusted my cogs too using distress embossing powder and love the effect it gives .

Playing Tim's Tags catch up ...April

Well as I had a little blog break I have missed April , May and June tags of Tim's tags for 2014 and am determined to complete them all as I love doing them and thunk they are packed full of tips and inspiration from the crafty master himself! So here , better late than never is my take on Tim's tags for April :

I love this tag and there are so many yummy details... Love the pine cone roses...need more practise but they are great x :)

I loved the use of the trellis frame and the gorgeous use of colours in this piece ..

The scrummy ribbon and the colours, I have never used these colours but I love them and will be using these gorgeous colours from the ribbon again x

And the same gorgeous ribbon at the top ..

My take on Tim's tag for July 2014

Well having been out of blogland for a while I have missed making Tim's gorgeous tags each month although I am planning to make all twelve and catch them up, so This month getting back into the swing of blogging gently  I made it and this month Tim has a real delight of a tag for us . Tim's gorgeous tag can be found here and all the details about how he created it so there will be no details on my blog.
So here is mine :

I pretty much followed Tim step by step as I love to do this to explore and learn through the process, I did add a different embellishment and if you want to try hop across here to Tim's blog for all the step by step details .
I loved the gorgeous sea horse..

And the sand was just so fun to make and just so scrummy!

My take on Tim's tag for march 2014

Well another month and another wonderful tag offering from the one and only Tim Holtz. All the details of his tag and how to make it can be found here, so I will not go through the steps and he does it so much better! I stayed fairly true to Tim's tag only changing some of the colours and adding different embellishments.

I have to say I love the soft version, so serene and gentle....and love the new spritzer what a great toy! I added some rub ons...as I have a bit of a thing for these and tissue tape at the moment...

I added some  eggs that I cut in half and inked up

And also some chit chat stickers..

I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who stops by and leaves a comment, it means a lot...think the chest infection is finally being shaken off so normal visiting service will be resumed shortly! I am linking this up to Tim's tags for 2014 .

My take on Tim's tag for February 2014 - how wonderful life is...

Well another month and another tag from Tim Holtz for inspiration...I have completed 20102 and 2013 so am determined to complete this year too...So onwards for my tag I used the layout of Tim's fab tag ...found here but decided to make mine sightly different and go chalkboard mad!

So here is my take on Tim's tag for this month :

So I loved this sentiment...just fab and copied Tim's chalkboard technique for it...which is also what I used to create the background using the new heart stencil...

Now you know me and idea-ology... I have a teensy thing for idea-ology ...so rude not to put some on right? I also wanted to add a splash of colour so added a glittered heart as Tim had but also some red dyed seam binding to the top...

Yes we actually saw the sun and I just know that it has shone all funny on some of these but...it was just so nice to see it...and I love how it shone on the ribbon...so sorry if it makes your eyes go a bit funny...but you never know when we will see it again! x

My take on Tim's tag for January 2014

Well where the hours go I am not too sure but having completed this last week there has be no time to blog it ... until now...so here is the link for Tim's fab tag for January and all the details of how to make it are there too. I have followed this tag almost exactly as I loved it so much!  So no details form me as Tim is far better at it! So here is my tag :

i just loved this tag from the embossed and scrummy watch to the splatter ( I have even bought a splatter brush an boy it is fab! what a cool piece of kit ), to the sanded rub ons...just loved this tag...not that you can tell or anything!
so a few close ups and I will leave you to enjoy the rest of your Sunday...
