lacy heartsy piece for frilly and funkie DT

well over at Frilly and Funkie this fortnight the challenge is to create a project using hearts and lace. there are some amazing DT pieces so make you sure you pop across for lots of inspiration. So still being in love with my neutrals, I decided to make a small configurations box, decorated with hearts , lace and lots more..so here is my make :

and here is the front in more detail:

(sorry having trouble, not sure why this is a bit fuzzy!)

So I started with this wonderful quote, from stampers anonymous classics #8,which was also on my post here..
Once in a while, Right in the middle of an ordinary life, Life gives us a fairy tale.

I started by taping all my insides of the box together and then painting the whole thing in a cream coloured paint I also did this for the insides of all the compartments.

When dry I over stamped with music script stamp from ephemera backgrounds from Artistic Outpost ( fast becoming a real favourite) in vintage photo distress ink. I also edged the edges...if that makes sense with vintage photo  DI too Then let the fun begin as I set to with the decorating .

Firstly the outside, I cut lots of hearts using the movers and shapers heart die and over stamped them with same music stamp, then when dry edged lightly with the same colour ink.. I then added a twirl of wire..you know how much I love my wire!! and then selected chit chat stickers ..with phrases such as : soulful, adore, embrace, lifetime, together etc. These were attached round the outside and on the top and also added a fab idea-ology curio-knob to the top.

Now, the insides..I added lots of goodies, corrugated hearts and bottles ( full of loose rock candy glitter! ) with little labels and one crackled .

a fractured doll, distressed by coating in rock candy crackle clear, leaving to dry..and rubbing off some and then I added some butterfly wings and a twirl of wire ( rude not too!)

More hearts, pen nibs, little reels covered in lace and stacked..

Some hearts cut out and layered for thickness and crackled with picket fence distress crackle , with vintage photo rubbed in.. and some lace of course!

These boxes are so fun to fill full of goodies, in whatever theme and colour way takes your fancy!

Well there is still a week to go so make sure you pop across to Frilly and Funkie and see all the wonderful heart and lace creations and maybe pop in an entry yourselves. All the products I have used from the wonderful Funkie Junkie boutique are listed below and Linda has lots of other yummy goodies to choose from too!

I am entering this for the following competitions:
