so here is my time flies inspired piece...full of lots of yummy Tim Holtz goodies and inspiration...
Well this is rather a personal inspired make for me as this August My husband and I will have been together 15 years ( and married 13 in October ) so as passing of time was whirring around my mind...this is where I ended up...creating a rather sentimentally inspired piece. rather than a step X step for this I have decided to focus on close ups of the details.... if you have any questions please feel free to drop me a line and I will do my best to help :) .
I created the background ... using some Tim Holtz paper and plenty of sanding, scuffing and inking... I had glued the paper onto an MDF board first. I painted the edges using tumbled glass distress paint.
I wanted to use my never been cut before wall clock and die cut it twice and cut a little hole in the front for the gears of the clock to fit inside. I added crackle paste to the clock and for the clock face used distress stain, then rock candy crackle, clear flavour and then when dry applied paint and rubbed and heated . I added lots of collaged layers ...using film strip, chit chat stickers and die cuts ..
For the base and to in my mind...create the inner clock workings ...I added some idea-ology mini gears. I added 15 for the 15 years we will have been together...and lots of die cut foliage..
on the other side of the image I added some of the ephemera in the form of this clock from the ephemera packs that are packed full of goodies! More idea-ology...as you can never have enough!
I added some flowers created using the tattered floral die using the yummy wallflower papers and inked with walnut stain...
For the focal image ...no sadly not me ;) I used one of the wonderful found relatives cards, sanded, scuffed and inked for the passing of time... before adding to the main piece I dyed some seam binding and tied around it , hanging one of the heart charms off it x
Nestled amongst the flowers I added a muse token.
Finally a close up of the bottom piece, with more collaged pieces ...
Make sure you hop across here to see all my fab team mates makes, you wont be disappointed .
keep those fingers inky!
