hey there,
well it is the time for a fresh challenge over at anything goes and this time the theme is anything goes, so full of all my Tim magical inspiration, here is my dt piece, a tag, no surprise there:
I started with a kraft tag and applied some picket fence crackle paint and left to dry.when dry added various colours..the fun of playing with colours was something that i learnt over at creative chemistry 101 with the one and only crafty master Tim Holtz.then i stamped some stitches and sewing detail in walnut stain distress ink and then removed some of the colour and heat set. Then i stamped the focal image , off set from the faded image to give a shadow kind of echo feel...well it made sense in my head!
The flower trim was white and from crafty individuals and was coloured using distress inks, i love the soft, vintage feel, this gave.
The ribbon was coloured in the same way. The sewing reels were made using a take on the mosaic technique found on Tims blog here, from his march tag.. i used hand made paper for the strips and walnut stain distress embossing powder, the texture of the rough and the glossy smooth mosaic pieces is fab in the flesh.
I love the soft almost feminine feel to this but with a vintage and distressed flavour...maybe i can do girlie after all..?! The top of the tag was finished off with a little bottle filled with seed beads, and some Tim ideaology.
thanks for stopping by,
