Hey there,
Well here I am to add some colour to my poor neglected blog, havent been blogging much as have had horrible chest infection, but thankfully due to hubbie using his holiday to look after me and the three children I am almost back to normal, well as normal as is normal!!! (waste of hs holiday but don't know what we would have done otherwise!!!)
So here I am today with a sponged background for the sponged background reader quest at the new blogzine unruly arts, so here it is :
I don't usually use a sponged style but used a blending foam to sponge inks through a stencil, hope this counts!!!! I started by apply various DI to the background in my new hound colour exploration, courtesy of the crafty master Tim Holtz. I then did a spritz and flick technique, because I love it!!!!!!
once this was dry I sponged ink through a diamond stencil, firstly in brown, them moved stencil and added some patches in black soot.
The main image, from my new Tim Holtz stamps, was water coloured using DI direct from craft sheet, and I decided to keep the card simple, a shocker for ,me I know!!!
Adding just a piece of old paper coloured card and a metal piece of ideaology tied with twine!
I am entering this for the following competitions:
