Well it is time for our second challenge over at A Vintage Journey...and the them this time has been chosen by the lovely and very talented Alison. the theme is ..Words .
So Alison would like you to let the words take centre stage.
Tim Holtz makes it so easy to "say it with words". You could use one of the many fantastic sentiment stamps, or ChitChat stickers, AlphaParts, Grungeboard lettering (either pre-cut, or using the fabulous WordPlay die), or any of the other alphabet stamps or dies you can think of, or all of them together! Whatever you pick, let the words be at the heart of your project.
So here is my make , a mini book to fit inside a matchbox (all made with Tim Holtz dies ) :
and here is the back of the matchbox..
Now as there are lots of details I am going to keep the details to a wordy minimum...and try and let the photos do the talking..I did say try!
So I started by making the matchbox using the fab new Tim Die using paper from the destinations paper stack.
All the hearts through the book and on box are traced round Wendy vecchi stencil, cut and coloured with DI. I added some ephemera tickets, some rusty wire and chit chat stickers. I also stamped a label for the back of the box itself.
Now onto the little book , I die cut the pages from the smallest movers and shaper rectangle..from destinations and seasonal paper stack..using wordy papers..I the glued them back to back to create thicker pages and attached together using tissue tape.
This created a little book that was the perfect fit for the matchbox. \now for the pages...lots of hearts, carefully chosen chit chat words and hearts. all pages had walnut stain DI edges and also lots of ephemera from the packs as well as lots of tissue tape.
The covers:
Inside pages :
Well that shows off my word inspired make, full of words that reflect my life and creative journey and mean something to me . I cannot wait to get making some more of these as it was so much fun to make !
