well here is a rusty tag,
i made using techniques from the great online timeworn workshop by Andy Skinner.
despite not having time to do as much as i would have liked.
.this has been a great painty experience!
so the challenge over at Simon says is rust, so here is mine:
i loved the rust technique here on the heart and have played with it a lot,
this tag was made a while ago
but think fits the challenge..
i added my fav wings , covered on old book paper
and inked,
some garden wire cut to size..
flowers made and coloured in rusty tones with alcohol inks
the sentiment was cut and coloured in alcohol inks too
and finally some lace to compliment the natural colours..
hope you like it?!
i am entering this for the following competitions:rust @ http://simonsaysstampandshow.blogspot.co.uk/
anything but a card @ http://partytimetuesdays.blogspot.co.uk/

Hi Trace thanks for popping by my desk. I love your rusty heart tag. I have a rust theme coming up on Tag Tuesday and I was looking forward to trying it out. All these faux finishes remind me of days spent making a wall look like sandstone blocks for an Egyptian mural I painted many moons ago. Actually when I think about it there was fab faux malachite using a come and a green glaze. That would look fab on a tag - thanks for the inspiration! Happy WOYWW to you from Helen 54
ReplyDeleteYour heart looks just fantastic Trace - like the absolute real thing! The flowers are yummy, and your use of the mesh is so cool... Great tag!
