So as you can see I had fun! I played creating a drippy background with Distress Stains in black soot, rusty hinge, antique bronze and vintage photo.
Then I had fun making my gears, I even used the new distress glitter combined with Distress embossing powder, as it is heat stable it can be heated and clings to embossing ink well...
edited : you need to use the new distress glitter for this as it is heat stable. The colours I used are : Distress Glitter - rusty hinge and Distress Embossing powder : black soot, walnut stain, vintage photo and tea dye .
and on the finished piece:
I love the added textures and vintage sparkle that it gives the gears , i added idea-ology , rub ons and die cuts for more layers...will let the pictures do the talking! ( for once!).
Also added some texture paste through a stencil and stamping with distress paints.
I also added a key that I rusted myself . Make sure you keep checking back at the CountryViewCrafts Challenge site as there are lots more lovely layered makes to come...and maybe you will be inspired to create your own x
have a fun and inky day!
