mask it for creative expression DT make

so it is Thursday and time for a creative expressions Dt make,
so another month sees some new new stamps to play with
and today I have played with the masquerade set,
 so here is my make
 this is different for me!

I started by covering a tag with tissue tape, and
smooshing with picket fence ..
then drying and finally
I added some feathers embossed..

the mask was stamped and embossed using white embossing powder
the cut out..i painted in the gaps in brushed pewter stain
and added liquid pearl pearls..

the handle is a coffee stirrer..
would with tissue tape,
then picket fence..
then lightly coated with glue and seal and ...you have guessed
I love it!! and still lots left!!
then some twirls of wire added

the card was stamped in the corners with the feathers
and embossed with white
and then edged in black soot distress ink

to complete some seam binding,,love this too!!
coloured with distress stains
and some crochet lace
also coloured with stain

a really different make for me..
let me know what you think..
thanks to everyone who stops by
to see what the rest of the team have made ..see sidebar here

have a fun and inky day!

  7. Hi Trace, I like this a lot. Very elegant adult type of tag. The mask is gorgeous and the adaptation of the stick and wire is wonderful. You have cut out the eye shapes perfectly. Love how you've done the tissue tape too. Really beautful make. Nicola x

  14. So different for you but a beautiful make Trace. I love the tissue background (must have a go at that!). The mask is superb from the painted metallic distress to the coffee stirer handle which looks great after its makeover! Strangely, some of these found their way into my handbag in Cafe Nero the other day - must have fallen in by accident!
You need to make some more with these stamps - they have come to life with your special touch!
I'll stop talking now don't worry!
