simon says..what do you say?

well this tag was made a while ago
but i think fits the theme at SSSS
and i love this paperartsy sentiment, I love inspirational quotes on pieces,
although i do also leave pieces with no words on occasions..
to let them speak for themselves!
So here is my double sided tag:
I decide to use very soft colours for this piece, using crackle paint as the basis for the tag,
I then lightly inked the edges
front and back of the tag are the same.
I added floral trim lightly coloured
with distress satin
some beautiful
 paperartsy butterflies,

an ideaology pearl and some mini keys
and finally this wonderful sentiment

it is funny how you go through spells of vibrant colours
and then i tend to monochrome creations..
which always amaze me as to how much can be created
with limited colours..
next well i will probably be bright and vibrant again..who knows..
thats what i love!never knowing quite what you will create!
I am entering this for the following competitions:
what do you say? @ http://simonsaysstampandshow.blogspot.co.uk/
have a fun and inky day!

  11. Trace...what a great tag and a great sentiment! I love that! What stamp set is that from? I love it! Your tag is beautiful with it's crackled background and shabby feeling. I love Tim's Trimmings and the keys and butterflies, too! Thanks for sharing your talent with us at Simon Says Stamp and Show. <3 Candy

  12. Beautiful. Love how the soft tones speak for themselves and the interest of all the textural elements speaks volumes!! I do love the sentiment. I often leave things without words too and then worry because it looks too bare but we are what we are I suppose and don't 'do' too many words!

  13. Firstly Trace, HUGE CONGRATS AGAIN!!! If you haven't been to Tim Holtz' blog GO NOW!!!
Next, thank you so much for my wonderfully wrapped package of stamps and that beautiful tag :) That will go on my new inspiration board to keep me going when Mr Mojo deserts or I have a wobble. I've added your beautiful flower to it and just keep looking at it in between crafting.
Finally, your tag today is just so beautiful. I could almost imagine it on an anniversary card - so delicate and a perfect sentiment.
Thank you so much once again. Hugs, Buttons x

  18. Oh this is so pretty! I'm definitely in a monochrome phase (though I never go that bright, to be honest, so far!), so this really appeals right now. Fabulous sentiment, fabulous tag, and huge congratulations on your London tag - thought it was great when I saw it, and now TH himself approves!!
